A pasteurised emulsion of egg yolk for use in bacteriological culture media, including Bacillus Cereus Medium PREP/MYP (LAB073), PEMBA (LAB193), Brazier’s CCEY Agar (LAB160) and Perfringens Agar TSC (LAB194).
It may be added directly to nutrient media for the identification of Clostridium, Bacillus and Staphylococcus species by their lipase and/or lecithinase activity.
