HOBO Salt Water Conductivity/Salinity Data Logger

Overview
The HOBO U24-002-C is a cost-effective data logger for measuring salinity, conductivity and temperature in saltwater environments with relatively small changes in salinity (±5,000 μS/cm) such as saltwater bays, or to detect salinity events such as upwelling, rainstorm, and discharge events. Data from the logger can be used with data from the HOBO U26 Dissolved Oxygen Logger for monitoring percent dissolved oxygen saturation.
Note: When monitoring salinity in waters with more than ±5,000 uS/cm variation, refer to the accuracy shown in Plot C in the product specifications to determine if the accuracy is acceptable for your needs. Monthly field calibration readings are typically required to achieve the best accuracy.

Our HOBO U26 Dissolved Oxygen logger has been part of a multi-year evaluation of DO loggers and sensors by the Alliance for Coastal Technologies (ACT), and the results have been published online. This provides an un-biased report of how our U26 performs in lab and field conditions. Note that our response letter with our added recommendations is attached at the end of this report on pages 58 and 59.

Overview
The Anti-fouling Protective Guard can be used in place of the standard protective guard for protection against fouling during deployment. The anti-fouling guard uses copper windings to reduce bio-fouling, while still allowing good water flow to the sensor.

Replacement DO Sensor Cap - U26-RDOB-1

Overview
The Replacement DO Sensor Cap replaces the original DO sensor cap that’s included with the HOBO DO Data Logger. The DO sensor caps have a 6-month deployment life. (The caps expire 7 months after initialization to allow some time before and after the deployment.) The caps have a 2-year shelf-life from the date they were manufactured. (Shelf-life shown on the canisters the caps come in.)
